Time Is Flying...

Okay, so, I really didn't think it would be too difficult for me to keep up with the blog, but, lol...time has FLOWN by since I was last on here. So, let's see...what happened...
My sweet niece, Chloe turned 1 on June 11th!

Then, we took Alexander to a train museum and he had a blast! He even got to ride with Thomas and blow a real train whistle (okay, Daddy did that one because it scared Alexander a little)!

After our ride with Thomas! :)

Getting ready to blow the train whistle...

After almost two months of my friend's daughter, Olivia, being born, I was finally able to make it up to see her and big sister, Madi! Go figure I didn't get any front pictures of Olivia! Next time, I will. :)

Just hanging out...

Then, just recently, my brother and his wife had a baby girl, Olivia Constance! She is so stinkin' cute and TINY! When I visited them in the hospital, I didn't know what to do with such a tiny baby. She was 5lb. 4oz. and 18inches long! Mom, Dad, and baby are doing great. :)

I'm one proud Aunt! :)

Lindsay, Ben, and Olivia!

Father's Day (almost caught up! Whew!) was a lot of fun! We took the boys to church and got Nik dedicated during the first service! It was so special to be able to have some of my family there this time since none of them were able to make it to Alexander's dedication back in Texas (Thankfully Rosa, Chuck's Mom, was able to make it to Alex's dedication). After the dedication, we took Chuck out to eat and then home for a fun and relaxing rest of the day. Happy Father's Day to Chuck, my Dad, brothers, and all the other dads out there!

Up on stage at church...

Finally, today has been a pretty great day so far! Got a good work-out in, then went to story time at the library and then we went to the pool! First time this season and a first for Nikolas; we had a blast! Can't wait to take the boys back again! :)

After we were all in the pool. :)

Well...I'm sure the craziness will continue, but at least I got y'all updated for now, lol!

God Bless! :)

What A Day...Part 2!

Okay, so I'm using the same title for this entry as yesterday because, well...it fits! Why?

Here goes...

So, I decided that I wanted to make some Whoppie Pies today...YUMMY! Unfortunately, I needed more flour, sugar, vanilla, and crisco to make this happen. So...I decide to brave the rain (NOT FUN) and take the boys to the grocery store. Alexander was really excited to go and then told me that he wanted to walk. Since it was raining pretty hard, I didn't take the time to "wear" Nik, so I carried him and let Alex walk...BIG MISTAKE! Never again will I do that in the grocery store. I became "that Mom". You know, the kind of Mom I said I would never be...the one yelling at her kid in the middle of the store, threatening to put him in time out or send him straight to his room when they got home. Why would I ever need to do that with my kid (clue the laughter for those of you who know me really well)?

Okay, I needed to get some baby food, and while I had my back turned, Alex decided that he wanted two boxes of Nilla Waffers...so, I had to buy them since he damaged BOTH boxes! Then, as I'm paying, he grabs a thing of gum and tears the wrapping up...so...buy #3 for a very, very lucky little boy.

Alexander and his "loot" from today...

Needless to say, I was a little frazzled when I got home, so I decided to put on a t.v. show for Alex, give him a few cookies (bad, I know) and get online for a few minutes. So, I hear him getting "a few more" cookies out of the bag, and thought, whatever...it's almost lunch time, so that can be his dessert. Knowing my child, I should have checked on him, so...this one is TOTALLY my fault, I'll admit it...

Enjoying some of his cookies...and no...I didn't allow him to eat all of this.

After all that, I decided that I wanted some of my cookies, so I started to make my Whoppie Pies...

Here's to hoping that I was able to brighten your day in some way! I'm off to go eat some yummy cookies before I tackle the mound of laundry waiting to be folded. :)

God Bless!

What A Day!

If the title doesn't clue you in...it has definitely been an interesting day so far! It started with me getting up somewhere around 0300 and taking Nik downstairs and sleeping on the couch. I'm hoping he will get used to his "real" food soon and stop having such horrible gas pains.

After I was finally able to wake up this morning, I got the boys ready and we left to go on a tour of our local police station. Thanks again to a friend who set it all up for Alex and all of his little friends. :) I think they all had a good time...except for the fact that Alex was scared for the most of the time, poor kid.

If being scared wasn't enough for my little man, I had been putting off get some blood work done for him for months, so I decided that today would be a great day (since they've called a few times with a reminder to get it done) to take him. Thankfully, he only screamed for a few mins. and as soon as they offered a lolli-pop reward...he was all better, lol. I love that kid! :)

Since I was over that way, I decided that I wanted to stop by a natural foods store. As I was getting Nik out of his carseat, I smelled something, but thought, no...he didn't poop, I bet it's just gas (especially since he's been having some issues). So, I shut the door, lock it, and open the front door, when I realize that my hand is covered with poop! Yikes! I had to pull Alex back out of the store, have him climb in the backseat while I try to change Nik on a blanket in the front seat. I'm sure anyone watching must have been laughing because as soon as I wiped it off my hand, Nik had it on one foot and completely down the other leg. I was trying to clean us, keep Nik from rolling off the seat, and answering Alex's questions and saying...yes, there is poopy. *sigh* Of course, as fate would have it, I only had FIVE wipes left in my diaper bag! ARGH!!! I had to get creative with some water and blankets I had left in my truck and use a bunch of hand sanitizer. Oh well, at least I learned my lesson...I will definitely check how many wipes I have left before I leave the house.

Thankfully both boys are resting right now and I'm hoping that our evening will be a breeze! :)
